Half moon dotticure

Happy Friday! Today is a public holiday in Sweden so I have the day off, it’s so nice with a long weekend.

Yesterday I made these cute blue half moon dotticure nails and I really like how they turned out. If you don’t like blue you could just change the colors, I think they would look great in any color.

This mani is made with products from Depend. The baby blue is O2 4089 Cool oasis, the darker blue is O2 469 and the white is 031. I used a dotting tool to make the dots and a detail brush to paint the blue half moon. Both tools are from Depend and I really like them, I have used them so much since I got them last summer. The final step of this mani was to add the bling stickers, those are also from Depend.

Speaking of Depend, yesterday I got two of their new collections and they are so colorful, really makes me long for spring. Hopefully I’ll be able to get swatches of them up on the blog soon, so stay tuned for that.

Hope you like these nails and have a lovely weekend!

Blue floral nails

I felt that I needed to paint something completely different to all the fall and Halloween designs I’ve done lately. So I went for something that I love to paint, flowers!

For this floral manicure I used I believe in manicures, Apartment for two, Mod about you and I’m sooo swamped! all from OPI, together with a dotting tool and a detail brush from Depend. The dotting tool and detail brush have become favorites of mine. Since I got them I have used them for almost all my free-hand nail art designs. (Read more about them here)

What is you favorite nail art design to paint?

Depend Decoration tools

The first things I decided to try from the box filled with nail art things from Depend was the decoration tools kit. More precisely the detail brush and the dotting tool from the kit.

This kit actually contains four brushes but I have only tested the two so far. The detail brush is a bit shorter than what I’m used to with my other brushes, but it’s still easy to hold and to work with. The dotting tool has two sides, one with a bigger end and one with a smaller end, they turned out to be the perfect sizes for making my mani!

All the things I used for this manicure: Depend O2 486 (blue), Depend 031 (white), Depend O2 369 (cerise), Depend O2 488 (pink), Depend O2 489 (green), Depend dotting tool & detail brush.

The small end of the dotting tool turned out to be the perfect size for the dotticure! And I used the bigger end to make the first step of the roses. To paint the pink in the roses I used the detail brush, and I think it was just the right size to make small details and lines. It works for a little bigger detail too, like the leaves.

This is how my manicure turned out using the tools and polishes from Depend. I wanted to do a mani that was very me since I thought that would be the best way to test the new tools and I’m really happy with the result!

The Decorations tools kit is available in stores now and retail for 149 kr.

Welcome to the world of nail art

Yesterday I got home to a big package from Depend, they have just released a collection called Welcome to the world of nail art that contains a bunch of nail art things. It’s perfect if you’re a beginner or if you’re not so good at freehand nail art.

I bet you want to know what was inside this big box, so let’s take a look.

GLITTER BOMB! ✨ Long confetti glitter, hexagonal glitter, fine loose glitter and rhinestones in different shapes and colors. I think these are suitable for anyone, beginner or “pro”. Some glitter or rhinestone placement is always fun and can give any design an extra pop.

Stamping kit with two small plates, a stamper and a scraper and black and white stamping polish. Even more stamping polish in black, silver and white and a big stamping plate. I think it’s so fun that a Swedish company is making stamping plates and tools. I know that Depend has had the small stamping plates for a while but I have never tried them and I’m hoping we get to see more of the big stamping plates from them! Also, I have a confession to make, I’ve actually never stamped with a stamping polish (just regular polish) so I’m excited to see if it makes it easier!

Stickers and nail transfers (like decals I think) in different shapes and forms that are perfect for nail art beginners, or if you just don’t have that much time. Rock your body; a kit with metallic tattoos, skull stickers and nail piercings (😱). Striping tape and nail vinyls. You know I like to use vinyls so these ones I’m looking forward to try. Top coats x3 shiny, shimmer and matte. And last but not least, nail art brushes and tools. A fan brush, a striper brush, a detail brush and a dotting tool. The brushes are the ones I’m most excited to try from all of this. Especially the detail brush since I use a detail brush to make many (if not most) of my designs!
