I remember saying last month that I thought May would bring some more chrome manis, and guess I was right! May was the month that I experimented a little more with the chrome powder. I tired it with nail vinyls and the result turned out so much better than I though it would!
It’s so hard to pick a favorite from these, but If I had to pick one I would be the chrome scales.
Which one do you like the most?
I did these nails for the #clairestelle8may challenge on Instagram, when the theme was scales. I wanted to make nails that looked like dragon scales so I decided to bring out my beloved chrome powder from Whats up nails. I would have loved to use the Dragon powder, but since I don’t have that one I had to make do with the Alchemy powder, and I think they turned out just amazing this way!
To create this design I used regular black polish, scale stencils, Alchemy powder and a water based top coat. I made a quick tutorial for them, which you can see here.
I have tried a few different powders now and I have to say that the ones from Whats up nails are by far the easiest to work with and they give the coolest results! Their powders are a bit more expensive than powders from other manufacturers, but I still think they’re worth it.
What do you think about this chrome trend that’s been going on for a while now? Personally, I love it!
