Wow, we’re already a month in to the new year! How fast does time fly by, soon it’s December again. A new month means that I pick out my favorite manis from the past month. This time it was really hard for me to pick them, because I have done plenty of manis that I loved in January.
The absolute favorite has to be the tropical gradient though. I was so sad when I had to remove it.
Which mani is your favorite?
I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22… or more like 27. Today is my birthday and of course I’ve made some birthday nails. I didn’t want to make a typical birthday mani, so I went for a more subtle design and ended up with negative space, dots and a bow. I think they turned out pretty cute and the bow reminds me of a gift.
I also have the best instagram friends you could ask for, today I woke up to the most amazing surprise. Not just one, but two birthday collages made by my sweet friends! 😍❤️😘 You guys are the best!!!
October is breast cancer awareness month and as you may have seen on my instagram I joined Lacky corner‘s United in pink week to raise awareness to breast cancer. I hope you like my pink manis and please don’t forget to check your boobs!
Here’s a recap of my week of pink nails:
Day 1: Pink ribbon inspired mani using polishes from this year’s pink collection from Essie.
Day 2: A pink dotticure using a bunch of OPI polishes.
Day 3: Pink holo with Red Taboo from Layla.
Day 4: Leopard heart gradient using OPI polishes.
Day 5: Kiss me on my tulips from OPI, one of my favorite pink polishes!
Day 6: DS Reflection from OPI.
Day 7: Simple pink ribbon nail art using bardot and rose from piCture pOlish.
Here are my favorite manis from July. I can’t really decide which one I like the most, but my two favorites are the fun Moroccan design and the mermaid design.
Which one is your favorite?
The first things I decided to try from the box filled with nail art things from Depend was the decoration tools kit. More precisely the detail brush and the dotting tool from the kit.
This kit actually contains four brushes but I have only tested the two so far. The detail brush is a bit shorter than what I’m used to with my other brushes, but it’s still easy to hold and to work with. The dotting tool has two sides, one with a bigger end and one with a smaller end, they turned out to be the perfect sizes for making my mani!
All the things I used for this manicure: Depend O2 486 (blue), Depend 031 (white), Depend O2 369 (cerise), Depend O2 488 (pink), Depend O2 489 (green), Depend dotting tool & detail brush.
The small end of the dotting tool turned out to be the perfect size for the dotticure! And I used the bigger end to make the first step of the roses. To paint the pink in the roses I used the detail brush, and I think it was just the right size to make small details and lines. It works for a little bigger detail too, like the leaves.
This is how my manicure turned out using the tools and polishes from Depend. I wanted to do a mani that was very me since I thought that would be the best way to test the new tools and I’m really happy with the result!
The Decorations tools kit is available in stores now and retail for 149 kr.
Here are my favorite manicures from March. I didn’t realize that I’ve made this many dotticure manicures this past month until just now…
