Pink flowers

Today I’m back with another mani using my new favorite stamping plate from Lina nail art supplies. If you’re thinking about getting it, get it! I have a feeling you won’t regret it.

December 13 | Snowflakes

For day 13 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I made snowflakes. I think this is the fourth mani with snowflakes that I’ve made in just a few weeks, I guess you could say I’m obsessed! ❄️

I wanted to make some snowflakes over I believe in manicures and then I saw a mani that I loved, so I had to recreate it. And I love how they turned out!

As I said the base is I believe in manicures and used it together with It’s frosty outside, Alpine snow and stamping plate B003 Sweater weather from What’s up nails.

Movember nails

Let’s not forget that November means movember! I had planned to make more than one mani for this cause, but somehow it’s the last day of November and I have one made one…

img_0948

For this movember look I used Breakfast at Tiffany’s as the base together with Black dress not optional, both from OPI’s new Holiday collection called Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The details are created using Movember stickers & stencils from Whats up nails.

Blue floral nails

I felt that I needed to paint something completely different to all the fall and Halloween designs I’ve done lately. So I went for something that I love to paint, flowers!

For this floral manicure I used I believe in manicures, Apartment for two, Mod about you and I’m sooo swamped! all from OPI, together with a dotting tool and a detail brush from Depend. The dotting tool and detail brush have become favorites of mine. Since I got them I have used them for almost all my free-hand nail art designs. (Read more about them here)

Beauty advent calendars

Warning, this post contains spoilers!

Christmas is two months away, and maybe it’s a little early to start thinking about it already. But if you want to have an advent calendar this Christmas you’ll have to get one soon before they’re all gone.

Today I’m showing you some beauty calendars that I’m interested in, because who says advent calendars are just for kids?

Rituals – The Ritual of Advent contains mini sizes of their most popular products. Rituals is one of my favorite body care brands, so I really want to get this one!

The Body Shop – 24 happy days is available in three different sizes; regular, deluxe and ultimate. It all depends on how much you want to spend, and the more you spend the greater the value is.

Kicks – Christmas calendar is filled with products mostly from their own brand, but it also contains products from a few other popular brands.

Last year I had two advent calendars, one from Kicks and one from Skincity and I was very happy with both of them. The year before that my boyfriend had made me an advent calendar himself, and it contained nail polish! Isn’t he just the best!? 💕
I have also had the advent calendar from Ciaté. I got it during the Christmas sale two years ago, so that was a bargain.

Are you getting an advent calendar this Christmas?

OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s

I have a confession to make, I have never seen Breakfast at Tiffany’s, so I have no idea what the film is about. However I do appreciate this year’s holiday collection from OPI, and maybe now I have to see the film (with matching nails of course).

I know why you’re here, so let’s just look at the swatches.

img_8280OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – I believe in manicures

I believe in manicures is a baby blue creme polish. On the first coat it is very streaky but with the right application technique you can get it opaque in just two coats.

img_8282

One coat of Champagne for breakfast over I believe in manicures.

img_8399

img_8401OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Champagne for breakfast

Champagne for breakfast is a silver holo glitter polish that is supposed to be a glitter topper, so it will need a lot of coats to be opaque on its own. Here I’m wearing three coats.

img_8300

img_8302OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Black dress not optional

Black dress not optional is a black creme polish with super fine silver shimmer that covers in two coats.

img_8304

One coat of Five-and-ten over Black dress not optional.

img_8294

img_8296OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Apartment for two

Apartment for two is a bright fuchsia creme polish that covers in two coats. It’s not a unique shade in any way but the formula is amazing. If you don’t already own a polish in this color, this is the one to get.

img_8298

One coat of Sunrise… bedtime! over Apartment for two.

img_8290

img_8292OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Five-and-ten

Five-and-ten is a frosty silver polish with pink and silver glitter pieces. It covers in two coats.

img_8387

img_8389OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Rich & Brazilian

Rich & Brazilian is a dark purple polish with shimmer that covers in two coats.

img_8320

img_8322OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Meet my “decorator”

Meet my “decorator” is an orange toned red creme polish that covers in two easy coats. It’s not a unique shade, but the formula is amazing.

img_8324

img_8326OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Got the mean reds

Got the mean reds is a classic red creme polish that we’ve seen a million times before. But it’s a red polish with an amazing formula that covers in two coats and OPI is really good at making these types of reds.

img_8383

img_8385OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Fire escape rendezvous

Fire escape rendezvous is a red metallic polish with glitter pieces in different sizes and shapes. It covers in just one coat, but I used two coats to get a deeper color and to get more glitter on the nails.

img_8284

img_8286OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Breakfast at Tiffany’s is a pale pink polish with fine gold shimmer. It covers in two coats which I was quite surprised to find out seeing it’s such a light color. The formula of this polish is a bit thick.

img_8288

One coat of Sunrise… bedtime! over Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

img_8395

img_8397OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Sunrise… bedtime!

Sunrise… bedtime! is a pink holo glitter polish that is supposed to be a glitter topper. It is somewhat covering in two coats, which I’m wearing here.

img_8391

img_8393OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s – Can’t read without my lipstick

Can’t read without my lipstick is a burgundy crelly polish that covers in two coats and it dries super shiny.

img_8408

At the first glimpse of the pictures of this collection I didn’t feel like it looked like a holiday collection. But after getting the collection and having tried all polishes I have to say that I’ve changed my mind a bit. Sure it has a lot of light colors, but I think it works for the holidays anyway. And who says you can only wear dark colors during the winter season?

I think my favorite shades has to be Fire escape rendezvous and Sunrise… bedtime! just because I don’t have any polishes like that from before.

What do you think about this year’s holiday collection from OPI?
