December 7 | Christmas sweater

What is Christmas without an ugly Christmas sweater? The last couple of years it has exploded, hasn’t it? I actually got myself my fist christmas sweater a few weeks ago and it’s a really cute one! How do you feel about these sweaters, yay or nay?

Well, the patterns we see on those sweaters make great nail art, so thats what I’m wearing on my nails today.

The red polish I’m using here is called Cinnamon sweet and it is from OPI’s 2014 Gwen Stefani holiday collection. The white polish is as always Alpine snow. To create the sweater pattern I used Christmas sweater stencils from What’s up nails. The stencils are from last year but you can find some that are similar here.

I felt like the nails needed to be mattified, so I used Matte top coat from OPI and here is the finished result.

Which version do you prefer, matte or glossy? I like the matte version the most!

December 5 | Half moon snowflakes

Today is day five of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator and for today I’ve made some simple and elegant half moon snowflake nails.

img_2351

The base for this mani is the beautiful blue scattered holo Freya’s cats from piCture pOlish. I used it together with bright white (also from pp) and Jolly snowflake stencils from What’s up nails.

Hope you like these winter-y nails and check back for more nail art tomorrow!

December 4 | Stars

For the forth day of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I’ve made stars using polishes from Depend’s new holiday collection Season Sparkle. There are so many pretty polishes in that collection and I’m sure I’ll use them for more holiday nail art.

img_2264

The black polish is called Bedtime stories and the silver is called Holiday spirit. The stars are made with Stars stencils from What’s up nails.

December 2 | Christmas ornaments

How are you today? I’m feeling really nauseous, so I’m staying home from work. Hope I won’t get sick.

For today’s 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I’ve made Christmas ornaments.

img_1674

The base for this mani is Pinot Noir from Il était un vernis, the ornaments are made with My favorite ornament from OPI and Ornament stencils from What’s up nails.

This is the first time I’m trying a polish from Il était un vernis, I got a few during Black Friday, and so far I’m impressed. I got some really pretty shades, so I’m sure I’ll like them all!

Come back tomorrow for more Christmas nail art!

Movember nails

Let’s not forget that November means movember! I had planned to make more than one mani for this cause, but somehow it’s the last day of November and I have one made one…

img_0948

For this movember look I used Breakfast at Tiffany’s as the base together with Black dress not optional, both from OPI’s new Holiday collection called Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The details are created using Movember stickers & stencils from Whats up nails.

Halloween nail art

Halloween is just around the corner and I have some Halloween themed nail art to show you. Hopefully you’ll find some inspiration!

What if you really really don’t like spiders? Well make them holo of course! For this mani I used Kimono-over from Essie, Space race from H&M, Spider stencils from Snail vinyls and some freehand skills.

img_7899

For this mani I used Lincoln park after dark, O Suzi mio, Purple palazzo pants, Lady in black and Alpine snow, all from OPI together with Graveyard stencils from Whatsupnails.

And here is a close-up on the thumb just because it turned out pretty good.

img_8009

For this black cat french manicure I used New York from piCture pOlish, 5042 Lady Wizard from Depend and Alpine snow from OPI.

img_8415

The holo spider decided to leave some holo spider webs on my nails. For this manicure I used Black dress not optional from OPI as the base and I stamped with Space race from H&M using stamping plate Mother nature 04 and the crystal clear stamper from MoYou London.

img_8454

This is a recreation of a mani I did last Halloween, but this time with holo. For this mani I used Unicorn dream, Forbidden witchcraft, Sweet elves, 031 and 497 from Depend.

img_8565

These spooky fall leaves are inspired by a picture I saw on Pinterest. Someone had painted fall leaves white and then painted eyes and a mouth on them to make them look like ghosts. I though that idea would be great as nail art, and I think I was right! For this mani I used Black dress not optional, Alpine snow and Lady in black from OPI together with Autumn leaf stencils from Snail vinyls.

October is not just Halloween, it’s also breast cancer awareness month, so I decided to combine the two with these pink Hello Kitty skulls. These nails took me forever to make, since I’m apparently not friends with the stamping plate I used. For this mani I used O2 488, 488, 039, black and white stamping polish from Depend, together with stamping plate Fun 9 from Fab Ur Nails.

img_9296

For this bat-man(i) I used Meow from piCture pOlish together with stamping plate Festive 15 from MoYou London and silver and black stamping polish from Depend.

img_9487

Did someone say holoween, how cool are these orange holo pumpkins!? For this mani I used Forbidden witchcraft as the base together with 039, both from Depend along with Pumpkin faces stencils and Dot zig zag tape from Whatsupnails.

How will you paint you nails for halloween?

IsaDora Sunkissed

Earlier this week I got some news from IsaDora, two polishes and one lipgloss from their new collection called Sunkissed. This collection includes bronzing make-up, to make you look tan I guess, too bad I’m so pale and haven’t gotten a tan yet. Maybe I should’ve waited to use the polishes until after Barcelona, because today me and my boyfriend are going to Barcelona and we’re staying until Friday. Hopefully the weather is good and maybe I’ll get a little tan.
Anyway, I used the polishes together with some moroccan stencils from Whatsupnails to make a summer-y look, I hope you like them!

img_0524IsaDora Sunkissed – 529 Sunkissed & 530 Peach on the beach

529 Sunkissed is a gold-champagne metallic polish with small copper glitter pieces. It’s pretty sheer and the formula is good. I needed three coats for it to cover completely.

530 Peach on the beach is an orange polish with red shimmer. The formula is pretty much the same as Sunkissed’s. I needed three coats for it to cover completely.

Black & White

Every week OPI Sweden has a new theme for #veckansopi and this week’s theme is black and white.

I created my manicure using Alpine snow, Lady in black, marbled zig zag stencils from Whatsupnails and a dotting tool. They were really easy to make, all you need is a little bit of time for the polish to dry before putting on the stencil. I really like how they turned out!

Black and white does not mean boring nails (even though I prefer a little color on my nails), do you agree with me?
