Hi everybody. It’s Monday again and it’s also the second time I’m joining Emelie’s blue Monday theme.
For today’s nails I’m using the second stamping plate that I got from Lina nail art supplies a couple of weeks ago. The base for my mani is Rhapsody in blue from Cirque Colors. I stamped this beautiful pattern over it using Feeling shapely! 07 from Lina nail art supplies and White Knight from MoYou London.
And I had to make them matte too!
Which version do you like the most, matte or glossy?
Yesterday was Cath’s (@withnailsandi) birthday, and to celebrate a bunch of us girls decided to recreate one of her manis. To see all recreations search for #withcakeandi on Instagram.
I hope you’re ready for a lot of pictures of the nails I did, because I just love how they turned out!
For this design I used Lady in black as the base. I stamped the flowers using White knight and Tropical collection 13 from MoYou London. To fill in the flowers I used the following Color Paints from OPI; Landscape artist, Pen & pink, Magenta muse, Primarily yellow, Chromatic orange and Purple perspective.
And here are some pictures of them in matte.
And here’s how they looked before I filled in the flowers with the Color Paints. Love them in color but I have to say that I’m digging this monochrome look too.
Which version of this design do you prefer; glossy, matte or monochrome?
Today I’m back with another mani using my new favorite stamping plate from Lina nail art supplies. If you’re thinking about getting it, get it! I have a feeling you won’t regret it.
For this pink floral design I used Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Exotic birds do not tweet and Getting nadi on my honeymoon from OPI, White knight from MoYou London and stamping plate 4 seasons Spring 01 from Lina nail art supplies.
I really hope you like these nails as much as I do! And if you want to see how I made them I have a little tutorial on my instagram.
Hi everyone! So it’s Monday again, did you have a good weekend? My weekend was good and I had time for some swatching, so check back here later this week for pictures!
Today I have some blue gradient nails to show you, I made them for piCture pOlish’s second nail art challenge with the theme ‘gradient’. I actually made a gradient design for their last challenge too (you can find them here), but I’m not complaining, I like making gradients.
The polishes I used are salt water, superior and freya’s cats, all of them from piCture pOlish of course. I really like how the gradient turned out, I think it’s perfectly blended.
I got an ocean vibe from the gradient so I wanted to make some appropriate nail art over it. So I took out my Mermaid life stamping plate from ÜberChic beauty and stamped some sea shells using White knight from MoYou London. I really like this look too, but I wish the gradient would have been a little bit more visible underneath the stamping.
Hi everybody, I hope you had a good weekend. Today I’m sharing my first nail art design using polishes from the Fiji collection. It’s a bright and fun manicure that definitely gives me spring vibes.
The polishes I used for this mani are: Living on the bula-vard, No tan lines and Exotic birds do not tweet. I started by painting two coats of Exotic birds do not tweet, the I grabbed a makeup sponge to create the gradient with. I dabbed each nail a few times until I was happy with the result. After that I added a quick dry top coat to get a smooth and even more blended result.
The last step of the design was to add the tropical flowers. To create them I used stamping plate Tropical collection 13 and stamping polish White knight from MoYou London together with my clear stamper from Born Pretty store. After that I sealed in the design once again with the fast drying top coat HK Girl from Glisten&Glow.
And a little behind the scenes / work in progress picture.
I hope you like this design and that it gives you spring feelings!
Hi there! Today I thought I’d share some manis that I’ve made with polishes from the new Getting Groovy holiday collection from Essie.
As I’ve mentioned before whenever I get a new collection I (often) get inspired to make different manis with the polishes. I always put my newest polish collections on top of my polish drawers, so I can easily find them, for decoration and hopefully for some inspiration. Anyone else who does this?
So far I’ve only made three designs with polishes from the Getting Groovy collection, but I think they all turned out really good. Enough talking, let’s look at the manis!
Ready to boa + Cabana boy
Go with the flowy + Aruba blue + Classical cliché + We trippy (Cirque colors) + MoYou London Festive 03
Satin sister + Getting groovy + MoYou London Enchanted 16
I hope you like these designs! My favorite is the one with snowflakes over Go with the flowy, it’s possibly even a favorite from this year.
I know this is a little late, but I was out last night with some friends so I didn’t have time to post this yesterday.
For day nine of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I made some fancy golden snowflakes.
For this mani I used Satin Sister and Getting Groovy, from Essie’s holiday collection called Getting Groovy. The snowflakes are made with stamping plate Enchanted 16 from MoYou London.
For day eight of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I tried a technique I never tried before, reverse stamping. I really like the result and I’m gonna try this technique again soon!
The red polish is from OPI’s 2012 Skyfall holiday collection and it’s called The spy who loved me. It is so pretty and a real favorite for Christmas. For the Reindeer I used Alpine snow, Lady in black, Shh… It’s top secret!, Squeaker of the house, Stay off the lawn! (all from OPI) and new stamping plate Festive 46 from MoYou London.
December is here and so is 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator! I will bring you new nail art everyday until Christmas Eve.
My first holiday mani is one with tiny gingerbread men.
The base for this design is Nut’n better from Cupcake polish. I stamped the gingerbread men using Alpine snow from OPI, Stamping plate Princess 16 and Crystal clear stamper from MoYou London.
I’m a bit sad that they don’t show up as good as I had hoped, but the result turned out pretty cute anyway. Maybe I should have used a brown creme polish as the base for this design instead of a holo. But Nut’n better reminds me of gingerbread so that’s why I chose this shade.
Come back for more holiday nail art tomorrow!
Hi everybody, I hope you had a lovely weekend and that you have a good start of the week!
Since yesterday was the first Sunday of advent and seeing that it is December soon I think it’s okay to start making holiday themed manis! And first out is a snowflake design. ❄️
The base for this mani is a gorgeous blue polish from OPI called Give me space. It is from last year’s holiday collection and it is actually one of my favorite polishes from last year! I used I drive a supernova from OPI, Stamping plate Festive 02 and Crystal clear stamper from MoYou London to create the snowflakes. To get a clean line for the negative space part I used Straight nail vinyls from Snail Vinyls.
I hope you’re excited for more holiday/winter manis, I know I am!
