Laura Mercier – Almond coconut milk hand & body créme
This hand creme is nice and moisturizing but the scent is pretty strong so it’s not for everyone. I’m not that sensitive about scents but I think that this one is a little bit too intense and it stays on the skin a little too long. I can wash my hands and the scent is still there. I like the scent, but I think that it stays too long.
Giorgio Armani – Sí eau de parfum
I got this tiny sample from Kicks online shop (why can’t we get samples in store?) and I probably wouldn’t have bought this perfume after just trying it once. It smells nice but I didn’t think that the scent suited me at first. After using it for a few days I started to really like the scent. I already have more perfumes than I need, so I don’t really need to get Sí, but if I find it for a good price maybe I just might…
Urban Decay – All nighter makeup setting spray
This setting spray is really good (I’d say the best, but I’ve only used this one so I can’t really say that). It makes my makeup stay on longer and makes my skin less shiny.
By Terry – Mascara Terrybly
I haven’t really had a favorite mascara for a few years, since my old favorite was discontinued. I do have a lot of mini sized mascaras that I’ve gotten as gwp’s so I tend to try new ones often. I like the brush on this mascara even though I prefer mascaras with rubber brushes. It gives me long and pretty lashes, but it also gives me fallout at the end of the day. And the price is a bit too high for me to buy it in the original size, so the search for my new favorite mascara continues.
Estée Lauder – Advanced night repair
I’ve heard so many good things about this product, but I can’t really say that I agree. During the time I have used it I haven’t seen or felt any difference to my skin than usual. And the product is really expensive so I wouldn’t buy it.
Travel sizes is this empties theme. I really like getting travel size products, becase they’re great for when you travel, but also you get a chance to try out the product before buying the full size.
Kevin Murphy – Plumping wash & rinse
I really like these two products and I love the way they smell! Unfortunately the price tag is a bit high, so I’ll stick to some cheaper alternatives.
Maria Åkerberg – Body lotion bergamot sandalwood
I don’t really like the smell of this body lotion, so I’m glad I just got the travel size. Apart from that it is a good body lotion.
Maria Nila – True soft shampoo & conditioner
This shampoo and conditioner duo is really good, they smell nice and leave the hair soft and shiny. I would buy the big size of these ones, if they were not so expensive. There are other products that are cheaper that are as good as these, so I’ll stick to the cheaper ones.
Clarins- Beauty flash balm
This is a product that has been with me for a few years now. I use it before I put on my makeup and it gives the skin a nice glow and works as a primer.
This time it’s all about the hands, feet and nails. A few of these products are old favorites that I always have at home, and some of the products are just meh…
Burt’s Bees – Peppermint foot lotion
Why does almost all foot creams smell of peppermint? I wish that this foot cream would have been a bit more moisturizing and nourishing. I like the Coconut foot cream from Burt’s Bees much more. My boyfriend hated the scent of this product so he is really happy now that it’s all used up, and I’m not allowed to buy it again…😉
Burt’s Bees – Lemon butter cuticle cream
First of all, this cuticle cream smells divine! I’m a sucker for lemon so this is just right up my alley. I keep this next to my bed, and use it every night before I go to bed. It is just great for dry cuticles. This is a product that I always have at home.
OPI – Natural nail base coat
This is my favorite base coat. I don’t know how many bottles of this I’ve used up by now, but it’s a lot.
OPI – Avoplex Nail & cuticle replenishing oil
Avoplex is my go to cuticle oil. I love everything about it. I always have one at home, one at work and one ‘on the go’ version in my handbag.
Dermalogica – Multivitamin hand and nail treatment
I really did not like the scent of this hand creme, it smells like seaweed. I’m glad that it was just 15ml and that I got it in a gwp. I can’t really say if it is good or not, since it took me like eight months to use it all up. And no it’s not super economical, I just didn’t want to use it, that’s why it took so long.
Welcome to the scrub edition of my empties!
Clinique – 7 day scrub cream
A good scrub that exfoliates the skin gently, the skin feels smooth and soft after using it.
Decléor – Aroma cleanse
A fine body scrub that is really good! The skin feels so nice and smooth after using it. Also, it doesn’t smell much which I think is pretty unusual for Decléor products. I don’t really like the scent of their products (I think they’re too perfumed), but this one I like!
The Body Shop – Sweet lemon sugar body scrub
A scratchy body scrub that smells lovely of lemon. I love citrus and I love this one. Too bad that it’s discontinued, because it is the perfect scrub for summer.
Maria Åkerberg – Papaya peeling
An organic papaya scented face scrub that gently exfoliates the skin. I think that it is good when it’s new. With time the consistency changes and it becomes very runny, and I feel that it doesn’t work as good then.
Here are a few more of my recent empties!
Lagerhaus – Kokos (Coconut scented candle)
I love scented candles and especially to have them in the bathroom, it makes the whole room smell so nice. This one is pretty cheap (39kr) for 45h burn time. The best part is that the whole candle burns up, unlike many other cheap candles that just burn a small hole in the middle. Oh, and I almost forgot, it smells lovely!
The Body Shop – Almond hand & nail cream
It’s a pretty good hand creme that keeps your hands moisturized but I don’t really like the almond scent. I have tried a lot of other hand creams that I like much more than this one.
Bliss – Triple oxygen instant energizing cleansing foam
Talk about putting a really long name on that product, I mean who even says the whole name? I like to use a foaming face wash when I’m removing my makeup and this one is pretty good, you don’t need to use that much product for the makeup to come off. But afterwards the skin feels a bit oily and that’s the one thing that I dislike about this product.
Löwengrip Care & Color – Count on me
To begin with I didn’t like this deodorant, it just didn’t work for me! At first it smelled lovely, but as soon as I got warm the smell turned really bad. But since it is kind of pricey (119kr) I didn’t want to throw it away. After a few months, when my other deodorant was empty, I tried this one again and this time it worked better. It’s not the best deodorant I’ve tried and it’s also not the worst, but for this price I was hoping for more.
Bliss – Ex-‘glow’-sion
A lovely vitamin infused moisture cream that smells so good. After using it the skin feels moisturized and gets a nice glow. I’m a bit sad that it’s all used up (and that I have other creams to use up before get a new one) but I’m pretty sure that I will buy it again soon.
It’s that time again!? Well most of these products are travel sizes so I’m blaming it on them being so small…
Burt’s Bees – Coconut foot cream
This foot cream is really thick and moisturizing. It smells of coconut, which is really nice and a change from most foot creams since they smell of peppermint (why is that?). My feet have gotten really soft from using this, so I’m definitely gonna keep on buying it!
By Terry – Baume de rose
I have been using Baume de rose before, but not this bottle with an applicator. I actually prefer this container more, since it feels a bit more hygienic, rather than the jar. It is a bit expensive but it does wonder for your lips so I’m gonna keep on buying it. At first I was a bit sceptic to the rose scent, but I have actually started to like it.
The Body Shop – Shea body butter
Shea is one of my favorite scents from The Body Shop, I love the smell of it so much! I brought this travel size body butter with me to London and it lasts about a week.
Mineral Beauty System – Dead sea bath salt
Eucalyptus scented bath salt that leaves the water green. It smells really lovely and the minerals makes the skin feel really soft. Though I prefer bath bombs or bubble baths but once in a while it’s nice with a “simple” bath, and the smell is really nice.
It’s that time again, I’ve used up some products. Keep reading too see what I think of them.
OPI – Alpine snow
This is my all time favorite white polish and I use it many times every week. I have used up a few bottles before and I know I will in the future too. I always have one spare bottle at home!
Rituals… – Ginko’s secret caring hand balm
This hand creme is for dry to extra dry skin which suits me well since I easily get very dry. I use this hand creme at night before I go to bed. It is pretty greasy so I don’t like to use it during the day, but for night time it is perfect! And it has a lovely scent as well.
Depend – Nail polish remover
My go to nail polish remover. It takes off the polish quick and simple. The only bad thing is the smell but I’m pretty used to it by now.
Make up store – Eyshadow brush 106
This is probably my oldest make up brush and after many years of serving me it is time for us to part. I’m lucky because I have a spare brush and you can’t get this brush anymore. Though I could use another eyeshadow brush, so please let me know if you have a good medium sized eyeshadow brush that you like!
Paula’s choise – 2% BHA liquid
I know a lot of people love this and so do I! This one keeps my face spotless and minimizes my pores.
A few of my products just happened to runt out at the same time, so I thought I’d share with you what I think about them. And if I will I purchase them again…
L’Occitane – Shea butter hand cream
I really liked this hand creme! It has a nice subtle smell and it moisturizes your hands without leaving them feeling greasy. This size (30 ml) is perfect for the handbag, or just to try the product like I did. I’m pretty sure I will purchase this hand cream again and I probably would’ve already done it, if I didn’t have so many new hand creams at home already. 🙈
OPI – Nail Envy
I always use one coat of Nail Envy before I use a base coat, and I think that works good for me. It keeps my nails strong and since I practically have two coats of base coat, that protects my nails from staining pretty well too. I had already purchased a new bottle before I ran out of this one.
OPI – Avoplex cuticle oil to go
This one I keep in my handbag and it’s the perfect size and design to use ‘on the go’ as the name applies. Avoplex is my favorite cuticle oil, I don’t know how many bottles I’ve used up by now, so of course I had already purchased a replacement for this one.
Essie – many many mani
This is a (quite) new favorite for me. I love the smell and how easily it sinks in to the skin, you can read more about it here. I even had to cut the tube in two to be able to get it all out! I haven’t found this hand creme anywhere in Sweden yet, so I’ll make sure to buy it next time I’m abroad (which will be in three weeks).
Have you tried any of these products?
