The battle of the chrome powders

Today I have a comparison of chrome powders from three different brands; Born Pretty Store, Whats up nails and Twinkled T. After trying the powder from Born Pretty Store I got a question if I could compare it to some of the more expensive brands, so here it is!

The powders I’m comparing are: GRB20 from Born Pretty Store, Alchemy powder from Whats up nails and Trapeze powder from Twinkled T.

As you see the powders are all pretty much dupes, I can’t see a difference between them. They’re all very reflective and shift between the exact same colors.

So is there a difference between them application wise? I have to say that the Alchemy powder from What’s up nails is the easiest to apply. It glides on like a dream, and you don’t really need to buff that much to get it to stick to the polish. The other two powders are not difficult to apply, but they do need just the tiniest bit more of buffing to stick to the polish.

The Alchemy powder is the most expensive, $21.75 for 1g. The Trapeze powder is $20 for 1g and GRB20 is $4.29 for 0,5g ($8.58 for 1g).

I think it’s great that there is a cheaper alternative that performs so well, though you have to bare in mind that Born Pretty Store ship their orders from Asia, and it will take several weeks for them to arrive (depending on where you live). For me it usually takes 4-5 weeks for a package to arrive to Sweden.
