Hi guys! Today I have another chrome powder to show you, the Trapeze powder from Twinkled T. This is the first time I’m trying one of their powders and it was super easy to work with.
As usual I applied the powder over regular black polish. After applying the second coat I waited for it to dry just to the touch, before I started applying the powder with my finger. It was really easy to make the powder stick to the polish, and the result is super shiny and gorgeous!
The jar contains 1 gram, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but a little goes a long way! Don’t forget that when you use chrome powders with regular polish you need to finish with a water based top coat, otherwise the chrome finish will be ruined.
I could just stare at my nails for hours with Trapeze on them. The powder shifts beautifully from purple to green in different lights and the surface is super reflective!
Have you tried any of Twinkled T’s powders?
Last week I got some new lovely products from Whats up nails to try! The package included flakies, magic shifting powders, glitter confetti, nail vinyls and water decals, and as you probably already know I’m a huge fan of their products.
Since I haven’t used any flakies before I decided to try them first. The flakies comes in a jar that contains 0.4 grams, which doesn’t sound like a lot, but it actually is quite a lot! The jar is packed full of the flakies and I think they will last for years.
I applied the Mermaid flakies over two coats of Lady in black from OPI, and I applied them while the polish still was wet. The application was super easy, and I found that the finger was best if you don’t want that much coverage, and using a fan brush was best if you want a lot of flakies over the whole nail (like I have here). You don’t need to finish with a special top coat like when you use powders.
I think the flakies are so beautiful, they give such depth to the mani! I could not stop staring at my nails while wearing them. Depending on the light they shift from green to blue, in some lights they are just green, in others they’re just blue.
You can’t have mermaid nails without a little bit of mermaid scales patterns on top, can you? Though I didn’t want to cover up the beautiful flakies too much so I just stamped the pattern on two nails.
Hope you like these as much as I do!
I remember saying last month that I thought May would bring some more chrome manis, and guess I was right! May was the month that I experimented a little more with the chrome powder. I tired it with nail vinyls and the result turned out so much better than I though it would!
It’s so hard to pick a favorite from these, but If I had to pick one I would be the chrome scales.
Which one do you like the most?
Hi guys! Did you know that today is National nail polish day? Well, for me every day is nail polish day. But it’s still a fun occation, don’t you think?
Today I have some bright, sparkly and super glossy nails to share with you! I’m so happy with how they turned out so I’m actually gonna be a little sad when I have to remove them.
I started by painting my nails with Mega (X) from ILNP which is a silver holographic polish. Then I sponged on the gradient using the Color Paints from OPI (Landscape artist, Primarily yellow, Chromatic orange, Magenta muse and Purple perspective). Lastly I stamped a floral pattern over the gradient using stamping plate 9-03 from ÜberChic beauty and Midnight mischief from Painted Polish (which is THE best black stamping polish!).
Here is how the gradient looked before I added the stamping. It’s really pretty, but I like it so much more with the stamping on top. Which version do you like the most?
How are you celebrating national nail polish day? I’m going to celebrate by taking these off (😢) and paint some new nails!
