December 20 | Silver stars

Hi there, today it’s only four days until Christmas eve! And today I got the last Christmas presents, good job Hanna.

For day 20 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I made some simple silver stars. This mani kinda reminds me of the glitter in the Christmas tree.

img_3680

For this mani I used Dark Green BPR005 and Stamping plate Celebration BPX-L008 from Born Pretty and I drive a SuperNova from OPI.

Smith & Cult Fall 2016

Hi guys! Today I’m going to show you the fall news from Smith & Cult. I know it’s a little late since we’re already in the middle of December, but when I first got these one of the polishes were broken and it took some time to get a new one.

IMG_3502.jpg1972 – Darjeeling Darling – Flatte top coat

Out of these three polishes one of them, 1972, is a limited edition, the other two will be added to the ordinary range. The polishes are swatches over one coat of base coat and topped with one coat of Above it all from Smith & Cult (review of the top coat will be up later). With that said, let’s take a look at the swatches.

img_3510Smith & Cult – 1972

1972 is a rose gold metallic polish that covers in two coats. It’s a bit streaky so you want to do as few brush strokes as possible while applying it, though the top coat did smooth out the brush strokes a bit. Any imperfections on your nails will be very visible so I’d recommend using a ridge filler as a base for this polish.

Darjeeling Darling is a dark green creme polish that covers in two easy coats.

Flatte top coat is a matte top coat. So far I can’t say that I’m impressed with this top coat. The first time I used it, it was a big lump on the brush. After removing the lump I painted one coat over my polish but nothing happened, it was still shiny. So I painted one more coat and it turned semi matte. The second time I used it (the picture above) it made the nails somewhat matte. It also left them very streaky and some parts of the nail turned completely white, it is visible on the tips and next to the cuticle on the ring finger. I will try it some more before I give it my final verdict, but so far I’m not a big fan.

My favorite out of these three is without doubt Darjeeling Darling!

December 19 | Cute (ugly) Christmas sweater

Ho ho ho holo there! Today is Monday and that means that Christmas week is here! I went christmas shopping after work today, so now I only have a one or two gifts left to get. How is your Christmas shopping going?

For day 19 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I’ve made some Christmas sweater inspired nails again, I just think they are so cute!

img_3588

For this mani I used holo berries from piCture pOlish and Alpine snow from OPI together with stamping plate Celebration BPX-L008 from Born Pretty. The pink is actually supposed to be white, it just changed color when I added the top coat. But I think they turned out pretty cute anyway.

Don’t you just love this red holo!?

December 18 | Ornaments

Hi there! So yesterday something sad happened, I broke my middle finger nail. It has had a cut for almost two weeks now, and I have tried to fix it with the teabag method just so it could grow out a bit before I had to cut it. Unfortunately the nail wanted to break even more and there was not much to do but to cut it, so I’ve unwillingly joined the nub club. The good thing is that I have a couple of Christmas designs left to show, but I wish that I would have been able to get all 24 with my nails still long and pretty.

Today is day 18 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator and I’ve made some ornaments.

img_3572

For this mani I used The spy who loved me from OPI, Space race from H&M and stamping plate B003 Sweater Weather from What’s up nails.

December 17 | Santa french manicure

Happy Saturday everybody! Can you believe that it’s only one week left until Christmas eve!? That also means thats it’s only two weeks left of this year, crazy!

For day 17 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I’ve made a French manicure with a twist, it’s Santa inspired.

img_3520

For this manicure I used Nail Envy Bubble bath and Alpine snow from OPI along with Madder from Cirque Colors. This design is really easy to make, all you need is a dotting tool.

Hope you like these nails!

Nail mail | Born Pretty

In the beginning of November Born Pretty Store turned 6 years and to celebrate they basically gave away products for free. Just by posting a picture about their anniversary on my Instagram I got a $10 gift card and this is what I got for it! A Christmas stamper (item id #36395), a Christmas stamping plate (item id #36245) and 10 scrapers (item id #36759) with super cute Christmas motives.

I’m so glad that I got these products just before Christmas, especially the stamping plate!

img_2971

The stamper is not only cute, it’s super squishy and picks up the polish so easily from the plate. I like that the head of the stamper is dark, because if you use a white or light polish it makes it so easy to see the pattern. I usually use a clear stamper, which makes it so easy to see where you place the pattern, but I really like this stamper too. Imagine if this one was clear…😍

img_3500

The stamping plate is very Christmas-y and has so many cute patterns. I’m not sure how many of them I’ll be able to use this Christmas, but luckily christmas comes every year. As I mentioned it was super easy to pick up the polish from the plate.

I immediately wanted to try the products and decided to stamp some snowflakes. Here is how they turned out.

Have you tried any products from Born Pretty store?

December 16 | Gold gradient

For day 16 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I made a gold glitter gradient over a dark green creme polish. I think these nails would be perfect for a Christmas party. And if you don’t like green you can just change it to red or to a color that matches your outfit.

img_3083

The base is Darjeeling Darling and I made the gold gradient with Shattered Souls, both polishes from Smith & Cult. To make the gradient I just took a tiny piece of a makeup sponge and painted the glitter onto it and then dabbed it on the nails where I wanted the gold.

img_3082

I just love that fact that the mani matches to bottle so well!

December 15 | Penguins

Since today is Fernanda’s birthday, and I know that she loves penguins, so that’s what I made for day 15 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator.

img_2699

For this mani I used winter from piCture pOlish, Alpine snow from OPI and stamping plates Enchanted 06 and 16 from MoYou London.

Happy birthday Fernanda!

Happy birthday Fernanda

Today is not just any day, it’s Fernanda’s (@themermaidpolish) birthday! To celebrate me and some other talented girls made a collage for Fernanda where we recreated manis that she’s made.

themermaidpolish

I chose to recreate this bright geometric mani that she made with polishes from Cirque Colors 2016 Vice collection.

img_2692

And here is how my mani turned out! I used Rehab, High Roller and Nolita Lolita from Cirque Colors (Fernanda used Sin City but I don’t have that shade so I used Nolita Lolita instead). To create the accent nail I used stamping plate BP-77 from Born Pretty and Lady in Black from OPI. I used the reverse stamping technique again, and it’s so easy and fun!

Happy birthday Fernanda, I hope you have a lovely day with lots of presents and polish! 😘❤️🎁💅🏻

December 14 | Candy cane

Today is day 14 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator and that means that it’s been two weeks of Christmas manis and that it’s only 10 days left until Christmas! Have you started buying Christmas gifts yet? I have bough a few, but I still have some left to get.

Today I’ve made candy cane nails and they are look so shiny and tasty, I almost want to eat them.

img_2961

The base is my favorite white polish called Alpine snow and I paired it with Let your love shine from last years holiday collection from OPI. The candy canes are made with Candy cane stencils and Gift wrap stencils from Snail Vinyls.
