While I wait for one of my nails to grow out (because I can’t file the other nails that short, and I want them all the same length) I’m showing some swatches that I have saved on my phone.
Today we’re taking a closer look at Madder from Cirque Colors. I used this polish not too long ago for one of my Christmas manis, which you can find here.
Cirque Colors – Madder
Madder is a red linear holo that covers in two coats and is easy to apply. It is stunning, as all the other polishes from Cirque that I’ve tried. I must say that I really, really like this brand.
Hi there! Today I thought I’d share some manis that I’ve made with polishes from the new Getting Groovy holiday collection from Essie.
As I’ve mentioned before whenever I get a new collection I (often) get inspired to make different manis with the polishes. I always put my newest polish collections on top of my polish drawers, so I can easily find them, for decoration and hopefully for some inspiration. Anyone else who does this?
So far I’ve only made three designs with polishes from the Getting Groovy collection, but I think they all turned out really good. Enough talking, let’s look at the manis!
Ready to boa + Cabana boy
Go with the flowy + Aruba blue + Classical cliché + We trippy (Cirque colors) + MoYou London Festive 03
Satin sister + Getting groovy + MoYou London Enchanted 16
I hope you like these designs! My favorite is the one with snowflakes over Go with the flowy, it’s possibly even a favorite from this year.
Every advent this Christmas OPI Sverige (OPI Sweden) has had a giveaway that has lasted from Sunday to Thursday. This Thursday the last winners were announced and I was one of them! I got the prize on Friday, so talk about fast shipping!
Here’s what I got: OPI Breakfast at Tiffany’s Style icons, On the go kit and Cocktail party.
The Style icons consists of mini sized bottles of Apartment for Two, Got the Mean Reds, I Believe in Manicures and Rich & Brazilian.
The On the go kit consists of Nail Envy Bubble Bath, Avopolex High Intensity Hand & Nail Cream and Avoplex Cuticle Oil to Go.
The Cocktail party consists of six mini sized Avojuice’s in the scents; Holly red, Sparkling mimosa, Vanilla lavender, Ginger lily, Sweet lemon sage and Cran and berry.
I was really happy to get the Avojuice’s and get to try out the new scents, but mostly I was really happy that I got the On the go kit. I loooove both the Avoplex hand creme and cuticle oil, and use them on a daily basis so they will be used up pretty soon.
Happy holidays everyone!
Here are my last nails for 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator. A few days late I know, but I got sick (stomach flue) the night before Christmas eve, so I’m just happy that I managed to post them on instagram in time.
I thought the best way to end this Christmas series was to do it with gift wrapped nails. They are perhaps not so wearable, but pretty fun and cute!
For these nails I used Alpine snow, Love is in my cards, Don’t mess with OPI and Love.Angel.Music.Baby. from OPI and striping tape from eBay.
I really enjoyed making all these Christmas themed nails and I hope I’ll have the time for it next year as well!
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas filled with love and joy.
Hi and happy early Christmas! Tomorrow is Christmas eve and that’s the day we celebrate Christmas in Sweden. I think it’s a bit odd that we celebrate on different days depending on which country we live in. But as my parents said to me when I was little, santa can’t come to everybody on just one day, he needs two!
For day 23 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I’m showing you these sequin bow nails.
Today I’m matching my nails with a top that was my inspiration. I got the top from H&M last year and it’s got a big bow made of sequins on the front.
For these nails I used Alpine snow and Minnie style from OPI and some black acrylic paint to make the outline of the bow.
Since it’s Friday today I thought this polish was very suitable. Thank glogg it’s Friday! was released with the Nordic collection in the fall of 2014. I liked that collection a little bit extra since I live in the Nordic.
I had to have some glögg (mulled wine) in the picture with the polish. The bottle you see in the picture is this year’s bottle of Blossa, they make a new special taste and bottle every year around Christmas.
Have you tried glögg? Did you like it?
Hello there, or good night (since it’s 11pm in Sweden right now). Today was my last day at work this year and it’s gonna be so nice to have a little vacation!
For day 22 of 24 days of Christmas by Hanninator I’m showing you these textured snowflake nails from last winter.
Here I used Alpine snow and Kiss me at midnight from OPI and Snowflake stencils from Snail vinyls. I have to admit that after these photos were taken I instantly added top coat. I like the look of textured nails, but I hate the feel of textured nails. They stick to my tights (I almost always wear dresses) and clothes and I don’t like that. How do you feel about textured nails?
Hi guys! I’m so excited to show you the new polishes from piCture pOlish today!
These polishes are perfect for the holodays! I’ve swatched the polishes over one coat of base coat and I’m not wearing an top coat. Let’s take a look at the swatches, shall we?
piCture pOlish – holo night
holo night is a black scattered holographic polish with multicolored flakes that covers in two coats. Doesn’t this polish look like space or a starry night?
piCture pOlish – holo star
holo star is a scattered holographic topper with holographic stars. I’ve applied one coat of holo star over a black and a silver polish. There are plenty of stars in the bottle and they are pretty easy to pick up. It was also very easy to apply the polish without getting any stars on the nail, like the middle finger.
piCture pOlish – holo berries
holo berries is a red scattered holographic jelly with holographic hex glitter that covers in two coats.
All polishes are so beautiful and I can’t really decide which one I like the most, it’s either holo night or holo berries.
Which shade do you like the most?
Thanks for reading, and happy holodays to you all!
I think I mentioned a couple of days ago that one of my nails broke and is really really short now. I had to trim the other nails as well, but it looks really weird with the one super short nail. I thought that I could just take photos of Cindy instead, but it turns out Cindy can’t pose at all, she just looks like a claw. So for these last few days until Christmas I decided to share some manis that I made last Christmas.
For this mani I used Alpine snow, What’s your point-settia?, Christmas gone plaid and You don’t know Jaques! from OPI together with Straight vinyls and Gingerbread man stencils form Snail vinyls.
Last week I got some polishes from Born Pretty store that I was sent to review, one holo and one creme polish. I have actually never tried any of their polishes before, I’ve only tried their stamping products previously.
Here are the products that I got; Dark Green BPR005 (item id #35982) and Heart of gold (item id #36892).
Born Pretty – Heart of gold
Heart of gold is a gold linear holographic nail polish that covers in 2 coats. It has a wide rounded brush that makes the application really easy. The holo is very visible and I would love to try some more of their holographic polishes!
Born Pretty – Dark green BPR005
Dark green BPR005 is a green creme polish that covers in just one coat and the formula is amazing! It has the same wide rounded brush as Heart of gold which makes it super easy to apply.
