IsaDora Autumn Rebels

This fall IsaDora released a new collection in their gel lacquer formula, the polishes are supposed to last on the nails for a week. It’s the first time I’m trying the gel lacquers and I’ve only swatched them so I can’t say how long they last on the nails. But I can say that the formula of the polishes are really good, they were super easy to apply!

The collection consists of ten shades and two top coats, one glossy and one matte. I got to try six of the shades and the top coats. All shades are new except 221 Iced coffee.

I’ve swatched the polishes with both the regular Gel Top Coat and the Matt Gel Top Coat.

piCture pOlish sweater nail art

Last week piCture pOlish had another giveaway with a sweater theme. Last time it was to make a sweater swatch and this time it was to make sweater nail art. I love that nail art inspiration can come from anything!

img_0746

The sweater I chose to match is from a Lindex X Missoni collaboration from a few years back. I actually thought I’d lost it, but found it last weekend just in time for this giveaway.
About a week ago winter arrived so I thought it was time to bring out the warmer clothes. I went to our storage in the attic to look for a box with my winter clothes, but I just couldn’t find it. It turned out that my boyfriend had moved it to our other storage, so guess if I was happy when he found it! This sweater was in the box, along with some other clothes I had forgotten about.

To match my sweater I used paris, moscow and badass from piCture pOlish together with Wavy nail vinyls from Snail vinyls.

OPI Nail Envy Bubble bath

How are you all? Winter has come to Sweden, so it’s really cold here. But on the plus side we have snow right now, so that brightens it all up a bit.

I thought it was time for an update on my nails since the Seche Vive disaster (read more about it here). On my main hand all nails but the ring finger are back to normal, but I think it’ll be okay soon. On the cindy on the other hand the nails are still not good, but they’re getting better though. I have tried to contact Seche in every possible way I could think of, but I’ve still not gotten any response since this summer. I think I’ll make a separate post about that later…

Unfortunately I got some really bad breaks on the nails, especially on the cindy, so I had to trim my nails a bit. My main hand still has some length as you’ll see, but my cindy is down to nubbins. The nails are so short that my fingers look like sausages, it’s not pretty.

After trimming and shaping my nails I thought they needed some love and care so I decided to paint them using Nail Envy Bubble bath. I love that nail strengtheners come in color now, though I wish the shades would be a bit more exciting and colorful. How about a hot pink or a classic red shade?

I use the original Nail Envy regularly but not according to the instructions, who wants to go with boring non colored nails? Not me! I use it before I put my base coat on. But those days you just want go for Nail Envy the colored version is perfect!

LUSH Halloween

A few weeks ago I visited Lush and picked up some bath bombs, I bought both new ones from the Halloween and Christmas collections as well as some old classics. Today I will be showing you two bath bombs from the Halloween collection.

I wish that every bath I take would be with a bath bomb from lush, but sometimes I have to go for a bubble bath too (it would be too expensive otherwise).

This little monster of a bomb is a mash-up of lime and neroli oils, and it smells lovely. It goes from white to pink and purple and blue and looks so pretty in the bath. I’m not gonna lie though, this one stains really bad. I was pink after the bath, not to mention my bath tub…

This lil’ jack-o’-lantern has a spicy, sweet perfume full of exotic pimento, sweet vanilla and warming cinnamon. This one was not as exciting as the Monster’s ball, it just left the water orange (and of course nicely scented).

*I realize that I didn’t take any pictures of them before they went in to the bath, so I borrowed pictures of them from Lush’s website.

Cirque Colors

I have recently gotten really into indie polishes. It all started with piCture pOlish this summer, and my latest discovery is Cirque Colors.

Cirque Colors is a New York-based indie brand specializing in hand-blended nail lacquers. Their nail polish is 3-free, which means it does not contain toluene, formaldehyde and dibutyl phthalate (DBP). And in true indie style all their products are hand-mixed in small batches and hand-poured individually.

Let’s take a look at my first three, but definitely not last, polishes from Cirque Colors.

Xochitl is a beautiful purple linear holographic polish that covers in two coats. I don’t know why but I’m really drawn to purple holos and this one is no exception. I actually think this one could be my absolute favorite purple holo!

Bejeweled is a blue linear holographic polish that covers in two coats. OMG just look at this blue color, isn’t it the prettiest you’ve seen!?

img_0607Cirque – Framboise

Framboise is a raspberry pink linear holographic polish that covers in two coats. Wow, another stunning polish! This color is just so pretty and girly.

You guys I’m really impressed with these polishes, they are super easy to apply and have great formulas! I don’t think I can decide which shade I like the most, it depends on what mood I’m in for the moment.

Have you tried any polishes from Cirque Colors?

Tri color marbled chevron

I made this manicure for a birthday collage for Malin (@just.mynails) and the inspiration was one of her beautiful nail designs. I really like the way these nails turned out and I could have worn them for days (but I didn’t).

To create this manicure I used Madam president, Suzi shops and island hops and Malaga wine from OPI and Marbled chevron nail vinyls from Snail vinyls.

Beauty favorites October

Here are my favorite beauty product from this past month!

L’Oréal – Elvital Extraordinary Clay Shampoo & Conditioner

I have to say that I like everything about these two! They are cheap, you can find them at the supermarket, they smell nice and the hair feels really good after using them. Well ok, I know one thing that I don’t like and it’s that the conditioner is only 200ml instead of 250ml like the shampoo. Right now I have a bottle of shampoo with a lot of product left and a bottle of conditioner that is empty.

OPI – Black dress not optional

This black polish with shimmer is from OPI’s latest collection, Breakfast at Tiffany’s. I just got it and I have already used it several times in different manicures.

By Terry – Baume de rose

With the cold autumn weather my lips have started to get dry. Baume de rose is the best product I’ve tried to get nice and smooth lips. I only have to use it once a day to keep my lips happy.

Universal Beauty – Secret flush blush

This is actually the first creme blush I’ve tried and I really like it. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical at first, but together with a blending sponge the result looks really natural and pretty. This shade has a bit of a glow in it too.

Too Faced – Better than sex mascara

I got this mascara in May when I was in Barcelona, but it isn’t until recently that I have started to use it. The first time I tried it I didn’t like it, I thought the brush was really bad and it gave me spider legs. But then something happened the second time I used, it was really good and it has been since!
