Let’s not forget that November means movember! I had planned to make more than one mani for this cause, but somehow it’s the last day of November and I have one made one…
For this movember look I used Breakfast at Tiffany’s as the base together with Black dress not optional, both from OPI’s new Holiday collection called Breakfast at Tiffany’s. The details are created using Movember stickers & stencils from Whats up nails.
Hi everybody, I hope you had a lovely weekend and that you have a good start of the week!
Since yesterday was the first Sunday of advent and seeing that it is December soon I think it’s okay to start making holiday themed manis! And first out is a snowflake design. ❄️
The base for this mani is a gorgeous blue polish from OPI called Give me space. It is from last year’s holiday collection and it is actually one of my favorite polishes from last year! I used I drive a supernova from OPI, Stamping plate Festive 02 and Crystal clear stamper from MoYou London to create the snowflakes. To get a clean line for the negative space part I used Straight nail vinyls from Snail Vinyls.
I hope you’re excited for more holiday/winter manis, I know I am!
This week has been so busy for me, I have had so much to do at work that I have barely had time to paint my nails let alone blog. I was planning to post this earlier but just didn’t have the time. As I mentioned in my last post I got two birthday collages from my sweet instagram friends. A total of 21 recreations of manis that I made, how crazy is that!?
I think all of them deserve some extra love, so let’s take a look at the manis!

I don’t know about you but I’m feeling 22… or more like 27. Today is my birthday and of course I’ve made some birthday nails. I didn’t want to make a typical birthday mani, so I went for a more subtle design and ended up with negative space, dots and a bow. I think they turned out pretty cute and the bow reminds me of a gift.
I also have the best instagram friends you could ask for, today I woke up to the most amazing surprise. Not just one, but two birthday collages made by my sweet friends! 😍❤️😘 You guys are the best!!!
Today I have a step by step tutorial for you, showing how to make a fun geometric accent nail.
For this mani I’m using Polovetsian Dances from A-England, Space Race from H&M and Right Angle Nail Stencils from Snail Vinyls.
Start by painting two coats of Space Race on the nails of your little finger and ring finger. Paint the rest of your nails with one coat (ocw!!) of Polovetsian Dances. Add a quick drying top coat to all nails, I used Gel Setter from Essie.
Wait approximately 20 minutes for the top coat to be completely dry. Add nail vinyls on the ring finger to create a geometric pattern. I used the insides from the Right Angle Nail Stencils, I love that this way you can use up the whole vinyl sheet.
Paint one coat of Polovetsian Dances over the vinyls…
Remove the vinyls immediately, before the polish starts to dry. If you wait too long before removing the vinyls the lines won’t be as clean and the base color might come up with them.
Allow the polish to try for a few minutes then add a glossy top coat.
The finished result!
Hope you like this little tutorial. Is this something you want to see more of here?
I’ve mentioned before that I easily get very dry hands, even more so during fall/winter. Therefore it’s important for me to moisturize my hands after every time I’ve washed them, and at work is no exception. These are all the products that I keep in my workspace.
Since I try a lot of different hand care products all the time, the products vary every now and then. But right now this is what it looks like. Plus at work is a really good place to try new stuff.
Right now I have three hand cremes, but I usually have two. It’s always good to have options. And besides two of them are small sizes, so they’ll get used up pretty quick.
I have one cuticle oil, one mini bottle of Seche vite for emergencies, a nail scissors, two mini crystal files (the one from Essie is a bit rougher than the one from OPI) as I said options are always good. And lastly I have two different lip balms depending on what scent I want, pink grapefruit or mint.
What products do you keep at your desk?
After seeing Anne wear this polish the other day I felt like I hade to wear it too!
Cupcake Polish – Berry Good Looking
Berry good looking is a purple linear holographic polish that covers in two coats. It dries a bit dull so a glossy top coat is a must to show off the beautiful holo!
The first time I used it the formula was a bit thick and it dried quick, so I had to to work fast to get a smooth application. When I read about this polish on Annes blog she said that her polish was a bit runny, so I thought that maybe the formula of mu polish was wrong. So I used a few drops of thinner and the formula turned out so much better!
This is my first Cupcake Polish and it’s so pretty that I think it will be hard to beat!
