So I don’t know if you’ve heard about OPI’s ‘mystery’ polishes, I first discovered them in late 2014. My boyfriend got me a bunch of polishes (24 to be precise) for my birthday (late November) as a Christmas calendar, many of them were OPI’s and a few of them were ‘mystery polishes’. The thing that’s special with these polishes is that they were not released with a collection, though most of them are dupes of polishes from discontinued collections. Beauty geeks have written a post called “The Case of the OPI Mystery Polish” where you can read more about these mysterious polishes.
I thought I’d share some of my ‘mystery’ polished with you, and first out is a polish called Just shocking!
OPI – Just shocking!
As you can see it’s a pretty sheer jelly polish with small glitters in different colors. I think this polish would be perfect to use in a pond mani. Here I have painted four coats, and it’s still very sheer. So if you want full coverage you should probably use this over another polish, as a topper.
Just shocking! is a dupe for a Nicole by OPI polish called Scarlett. I don’t own any NOPI polishes so luckily I don’t have two bottles of this shade in my collection (without knowing it)!
Have you ever come across one of these polishes? Maybe you even own some of OPI’s mysterious polishes? Let me know in the comments!
